Reaching for a Sprite

"Our studios are in industrial buildings, garages, brownstones and warehouses. We’re a melting pot of aspiring, professional, and amateur artists. The art we create includes painting, sculpture, installations, photography, kinetic, conceptual, drawing, prints, video, ceramics, mixed-media, and more.

A community gets the art it deserves. Visitors to Gowanus Open Studios experience the culture of Brooklyn. You can engage with working artists one-on-one in the intimacy of our studios, buy art, see the creative process, and discuss method.

The Gowanus is at the juncture of Park Slope and Carroll Gardens, near Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and Red Hook. You can get to it by foot, bike, kayak, LIRR, bus and nearly every subway line."

Gowanus Studio Space

Reaching for a Sprite is focused in pieces of the everyday. Between hands that are connected each other by a thin line, some pair of sandals hanged in the white background, two circularsdesires that generate the expression of the color, a knife for cutting the canvass, a pizza for the grass to grow, a hanger hanged by itself, the love hided by the red, beers looking for the unconsciousness, a rat in the floor for a lucky connection and a gas tank that maybe will not be possible to use it in the kitchen for eating and drinking in a impossible meeting of polite people. Everything that goes in the circle.
