The BALLOONS were a way to protest by the New Yorkers developed by The Bread and Puppet Theater from the city. This protest was started by the Flower Power originated in Berkeley California as a symbolic action of protest against the Vietnam War. In his November 1965 essay titled How to Make a March/Spectacle, Ginsberg advocated that protesters should be provided with "masses of flowers" to hand out to policemen, press, politicians and spectators. Turning everything in colors. Now, after the dead of Osama Bin Laden, the people of New York are sensitive to any kind of impact transforming the city into a gray color of fear where BALLOONS, again, appear afresh against the war to stop it right away.
